Corso’s Cookies has an immediate opportunity for an individual who loves to clean and work hard with a great eye for detail. This is for someone who wants to be a part of team but is also a self starter, reliable and mature enough to work alone for part of their shift. The hours are 9:30am - 6:00pm Monday-Friday.
You must have experience in commercial cleaning, using and maintaining a floor scrubber, and be in excellent physical shape, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., moving quickly and efficiently.
We are a GFSI manufacturing facility and as a cleaning technician you are an important member of our team, responsible for ensuring our facility is clean and maintained to the highest standards.
The job description is broken up by area as follows:
Production Facility/Loading Docks (Approximately 35,000 sq. feet)
- Empty trash and wipe down trash cans throughout facility.
- Scrape and sweep floors in preparation for mopping around all equipment.
- Mop in and around equipment, tables and production lines.
- Clean larger areas of floor with a riding floor scrubber.
- Clean all floor mats and place back into their designated locations.
- Collect all cardboard and dispose of in bailer.
- Monitor overall assigned facility to report any facility maintenance issues to the operations manager, including, but not limited to, building leaks, poor floor conditions, or other similar damaged areas.
Offices/Breakroom/Locker Room/Bathrooms
Perform daily cleaning functions effectively and efficiently in accordance with Company procedures and guidelines including, but not limited to:
- Emptying trash and wiping down trash cans throughout facility.
- Cleaning break room, locker room, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, cleaning microwaves, refrigerator and wiping down counters.
- Sanitizing restrooms including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down sinks, brushing down toilets, cleaning mirrors, emptying trash, and filling soap and paper dispensers.
- Vacuum all hallway floor mats/carpets.
- Sweep hallways, clean baseboards and use walk-behind floor scrubber for floors throughout the office area, breakroom, locker rooms and hallways.
- 1-2 times a week it is necessary to sweep and empty trash outside our entranceway.
There are also numerous special cleaning projects which will be assigned each week.
