The primary responsibility of the janitor is to maintain the cleanliness of the assigned areas. The
janitor is supervised by the program manager or designee on site.
Essential Job Functions:
- Clean the bathrooms including all surfaces (toilets, sinks, floors, mirrors, etc) and stock paper products and soap as needed.
- Clean office spaces including all surfaces (desks, computer screens, floors, etc) as indicated by supervisor
- Clean all common areas (lobby, receptionist space, conference rooms, kitchens, etc) including all surfaces (floors, tables, windows, etc) as indicated by supervisor.
- Empty all trash cans, replace trash bags and dispose of trash in the appropriate place.
- Empty recycling bins as needed.
- Clean interior and exterior of refrigerator and microwave as needed.
- Complete any additional job duties as assigned by the program manager.
- Maintains a neat appearance with regard to appropriate dress and grooming;
- Keeps the Supervisor aware of work issues as needed;
- Interacts with coworkers and supervisors in a professional manner.
- Maintains regular attendance and punctuality, and follows procedures regarding time off.
- Follows all ESUCP Policies and Procedures as appropriate to position.
- Demonstrates Easter Seals valued behaviors of Accountability, Commitment and Caring as appropriate to position.
- Completes required training within prescribed timeframes.
- Complete any additional job duties as assigned by the program manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrates a desire to work cooperatively with others, and exhibits a willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Essential physical requirements:
- Be able to lift up to a maximum of 55 lbs. in order to pick up equipment, supplies, etc.
- Standing and bending for long periods of time.
