Assistant Housekeeping Manager
Job Summary:

Assists the Housekeeping Manager in managing the operation of the housekeeping and laundry departments to ensure orderly and attractive conditions in the hotel. Promotes an atmosphere of cleanliness and superior customer care for hotel guests.

Job Duties:

· Assists in hiring, training, and completing evaluations of department personnel.

· Assists in directing all activities of the housekeeping and laundry departments in furnishing daily service to guest rooms and public areas.

· Schedules duties, such as heavy cleaning, mattress rotations, etc.

· Maintains staffing levels in order to prepare work schedules for staff based on projected occupancy.

· Inspects premises, guest rooms, linen rooms, and public areas to assure employees maintain the property’s superior standards of housekeeping.

· Inspect all housekeeping, maintenance, guest, and property equipment, machines, and electronics to ensure they are working properly. Schedule necessary maintenance andservice.

· Coordinate any maintenance issues with maintenance department.

· Ensure Best Western policies and procedures are upheld in the department including the “I Care 2” deep cleaning process (black light and UV wand).

· Communicate with front desk, sales, and management about any housekeeping delays, guest policy violations, or challenges within the housekeeping department.

· Receive and address any complements or complaints due to housekeeping.

· Maintains lost and found.

· Performs room attendant duties, when required

. Performs housekeeper and laundry duties, when required

. Performs other duties required by management
