General Definition:
- The Laundry Room Attendant responsible for the completion of laundry functions in accordance with company policies and procedures
Essential Job Functions:
- Operates washers and dryers in accordance with recommended capacity and other manufacturers guidelines.
- Pre-sorts linens to locate stained or torn items.
- Uses laundry soaps, softeners, and other products to properly clean and dry linens in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines or other usage instructions.
- Irons and folds clean linens in accordance with company standards and stores in appropriate areas.
- Maintains adequate inventory of supplies, re-stocking as needed.
- Distributes laundered products to departments as requested by management staff in a timely manner.
- Ensures laundry equipment, including washers, dryers and irons operate properly. Notifies Food & Beverage Director in a timely manner when repairs are needed.
- Repairs torn product, including sewing, converting tablecloths to aprons for kitchen staff and assisting Food & Beverage employees as needed.
- Notifies Laundry Room Supervisor of incidents, hazards or conflicts that affect normal business operation or customer service.
- Adheres to organizational policies and procedures, including general cleanliness and maintenance of work areas.
- Follows safety policies and procedures in accordance with company standards and state/federal rules and regulations
- Dependability, good attendance, and occasional overtime required.
- May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as scheduled.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Texas Racing Commission license.
- Have the ability to accomplish a multitude of duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED; or 2 to 6 months related experience and/or training; or combination.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility preferred.
- Possess good organization skills.
- Basic math.
- Ability to communicate and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to interact positively with coworkers and management.
- Ability to prioritize time so that work is accomplished on a dependable basis; is reliable and committed to meeting schedules and deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, including being proactive and resourceful, working independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to win confidence and gain respect through consistent demonstrations of personal courtesy, tact and timely responsiveness.
Training:
- Capability to prioritize, multi-task and be flexible

- No licensing or certification needed.
