POSITION PURPOSE
The main responsibilities of this position are to provide exceptional service to all guests and potential guests by assisting them in a friendly, efficient, courteous, and professional manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Promotes water safety among guests using the pool, maintains the pool, whirlpool, pool deck, patio, and grounds of the hotel.
- Conducts necessary repairs and performs necessary cleaning in a manner that is responsive to guest satisfaction in a safe manner. Also responsible for routine custodial duties.
- Ensuring cleanliness, setting -up and safety of the pool deck and attend to all guests needs within the hotel pool area as per the Hotel safety guidelines.
- Clean, set and re-set tables continuously, assuming responsibility for stations, tables, and side duties.
- Stack dishware properly for efficient unloading for kitchen stewarding and always ensure proper safety standards.
- Perform set up duties as requested to include side stations, storage areas and food staging area.
- Perform general cleaning tasks utilizing cleaning to adhere to health and safety standards.
- Fold napkins for meal periods to maintain an adequate supply.
- Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests.
- Prepares pool deck for patrons by setting up and cleaning day beds, pool chairs, pool towels and cabanas; setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils as needed.
- Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean and replacing damaged menus.
- Maintains table setting by removing plates, glassware and utensils as completed; replenishing utensils; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
- Supports Pool Servers by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers liners, and bus stations.
- Closes pool deck by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping floors; removing trash and recyclables from the pool deck.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Maintain general knowledge of the pool operations concept.
- Ensure presence at the dock to greet boat Owners and boat Captain.
- Establish if the boat Captain requires assistant with docking, loading, and unloading of guests.
- Escort guest to Pool deck and direct guest to the bar and/or host/hostess stand.
- Must have daily print out of reservations to identify & greet Baia Beach Club Members.
- Work with the Security Department establish controls on locking and unlocking the Marina gate entrance/exit.
- Monitor the boat traffic at the South dock to ensure inflow and outflow of boat capacity compliance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- Willing to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Physically able to carry 35+ pounds; able to stand, bend, and move throughout shift.
- Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks.
- Excellent at verbal communication
- Works well and efficiently under pressure.
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of staff and management.
