MAINTENANCE POSITION DESCRIPTION

REPORTS TO: Richfield Catholic Community Director of Maintenance.
DIRECT REPORTS: None
PROVIDES WORK DIRECTION TO: None
RECEIVES WORK DIRECTION FROM: Pastor, Business Administrator, Director of Maintenance
(Other staff could make routine requests for minor repairs and setups, with the assumption of approval of the Director of Maintenance, Pastor and Business Administrator)
Hours hired to work: per day___ 8*_ or per week ___ 40*_ Schedule may vary in response to building maintenance and security needs. We anticipate that the hours for this position will roughly coincide with the school hours when school is in session. When school is not in session the hours will be as arranged with the Director of Maintenance.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Maintain the supplies, grounds, buildings, furnishings and equipment of St. Richard's Church and Blessed Trinity School, while giving Christian witness through service to others. This person will also be called upon to assist the Maintenance Supervisor with maintenance on all
3 Richfield Catholic campuses, but with special attention to light maintenance needs at St.
Richard's including the Penn campus of Blessed Trinity School.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employment in and by the Church is substantially different from secular employment. REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities listed below are representative responsibilities intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed and assigned to this position. - * Be present and ready to work and on time for all scheduled hours.
- *Complete in a timely manner custodial duties relating to the St. Richard's worship space, social hall and/or other gathering spaces, and kitchen.
- File Contact information from vendors and potential vendors
- When directed collect bids on facilities projects
- Maintain grounds including snow removal and grass mowing, greenery pruning.
- Complete in a timely manner custodial duties for both school day and non-school day schedules; school year and non-school year schedules.
- Set up lunch room tables and chairs for school lunch
- Set up social hall tables and chairs for funerals.
- Buff & scrub hallway and stairwell floors in summer, including gym & classrooms
- Vacuum and shampoo carpets in facility as assigned
- As directed, set-up tables and chairs in worship spaces, social hall and cafeteria for special events on the parish calendar.
- Assure compliance with Catholic Mutual and Archdiocesan policies
- Regulate temperature in worship space for Saturday and Sunday services
- Open and close building per schedule.
- Assure compliance with OSHA requirements for maintaining as safety data sheets
(SDSs), readily accessible to employees in their work areas;
- * Respond to phone calls, e-mails and other communications from staff and vendors.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes other additional responsibilities identified (as needed) by employee and approved and/or assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Ability to follow directions
- Post high school training.
- Prior custodial experience.
- Proficient in personal computer skills and software in MS Office and Google suites.
- Demonstrated skills in organizing time, paperwork and files.
- An appreciation of the Catholic faith.
- Demonstrated communication skills.
- Familiarity with MS Office, Google Suite and Hurricane to accomplish responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
