Looking to work for one of the premier luxury homebuilders and remodelers in the Sarasota area? Murray Homes could be just what you need! We are seeking a new team member as a L Carpenter with a multi-faceted construction skill set. This person would work directly with the Project Manager assisting with the daily construction needs in the field. The Carpenter reports to the Project Manager, and must have reliable transportation. The job entails the following requirements:
- Overall construction knowledge is a must. All aspects of the physical requirements are essential elements of job function
- Must have regular attendance/ punctuality. Must be honest and be able to take directions. Must cooperate with others. Must be able to report to work at sites between Sarasota, Longboat Key, and Bradenton areas
- Must have reliable transportation preferably equipped to carry tools and materials
- Perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled labor work to included demolition, framing, painting, and assisting sub trades with various construction labor as needed
- Lift, carry and hold construction materials, tools and supplies. Clean tools, equipment and material in work area
- Operates manual material handling equipment such as hand jacks and wheeled carts
- Perform minor maintenance and cleaning up activities with tools and equipment
- Perform carpentry requirements as needed, such as framing, drywall, cabinet installation, finish trim and miscellaneous projects that require knowledge of hand tools and power tools used for the trade
- Participate in the punch out and close out process
- Perform water testing on windows and troubleshoot problem areas as needed
- The Carpenter will coordinate sub-contractors to perform specific tasks to complete their scope of work

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
