The Environmental Service Floor Technician performs Environmental Services duties and floor care per department policies and procedures, and in accordance with Infection Control standards. In addition to these duties, the Environmental Services Floor Technician also routinely cleans specialty areas and performs advance floor care duties.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year experience in hospital or healthcare related setting preferred
- Experience operating electrical motorized floor equipment. Candidates will be required to demonstrate ability to operate equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintains all assigned patient rooms, ancillary areas, department areas, clinic areas and corridors with the correct routine or preventative maintenance procedures as outlines in department policy or as requested. Will execute cleaning strategy as directed by leadership.
- Utilizes electrical motorized floor equipment for routine maintenance of resilient floors and carpets. Provides routine cleaning maintenance of all equipment used, reporting faulty equipment promptly.
- Efficient and safe in the use of housekeeping equipment and solutions as observed by Supervisor/Manager.
- Assists in the collection and proper disposal of all waste streams generated by the hospital to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
- May function as an assistant in special floor care projects and may function as a project leader for specific assignments.
