Overview
We are seeking an on-call Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and stripping floors to maintain their appearance.
Carry out custodial duties in both industrial and commercial settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to ensure a clean environment at all times.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment.

Skills

Proficiency in industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
Experience with residential painting is a plus but not required.
Strong custodial skills with an emphasis on maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Knowledge of floor care practices including buffing and polishing techniques.
Familiarity with porter duties in commercial settings is advantageous.
Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance tasks effectively.
A strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
