St. Bonaventure Catholic Parish and School in Davie, Florida has a full-time position for a Maintenance/Custodial Worker. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 am-4:00 pm. (Hours may vary based on special events).

Responsibilities:

Maintains parish and school grounds, buildings, and equipment.
Janitorial duties such as bathroom cleaning, trash removal, sweeping, floor mopping, etc.
Performs minor carpentry tasks and changes light bulbs.
Responsible for plumbing and electrical repairs, as well as lawn and landscape maintenance.
Pressure washes and paint, and delivers supplies, materials, and equipment as needed.
Assists with Parish events including set up and tear down.
Performs routine preventive maintenance of equipment.
Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

High-school diploma or G.E.D.
Prior maintenance/custodial work experience a plus.
Knowledge of machines and tools is a plus.
Ability to bend, climb stairs, lift and move heavy items (up to 40 pounds), such as furniture, chairs, and tables.
Multi-tasking a plus.
Good oral and written English language communication skills are necessary.
Spanish is a plus.
Supports the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
Must work well with others.
Must have a driver's license and be able to pass a background check.
