Grain & Berry Cafe is interviewing candidates for Team/Shift Lead positions in our Clearwater restaurant, located at 2164 Gulf To Bay Blvd. Our acai bowls, smoothies, and fresh juices have all won awards since 2019, voted on by our customers thru various local publications. We're looking to pair our delicious food and drinks with amazing team members and leaders, who will provide an exceptional experience for our customers!

The ideal candidates will have a passion for customer service and are experienced in taking charge of their shift and providing direction to the team members. Forward thinkers who proactively identify and fix issues before they become operational problems will excel in this role.

We pay weekly! This position is paid at an hourly rate based on past experience plus a portion of pooled tips, which has ranged from $3/hr to $4/hr. Combined hourly plus tips pays consistently $17 - $18/hr.

We foster a flexible work schedule with our team, but weekend availability is required.

Job Responsibilities:

Taking care of the customer is #1. Greet our customers and make them feel welcome; coach the team to do the same.
Ensure all orders are prepared accurately by yourself and the team by performing quality control, and training/coaching team as necessary.
Lead each shift, including store openings and closings, and ensure the next shift is set up for success.
Delegate and prioritize tasks for team members. Provide any coaching necessary for them to accomplish the tasks properly.
Provide feedback on employee performance and escalate issues to the GM.
Mentor and train Team Members on order taking/making, food prep, and cleaning.
Contribute to and support GM's plans for team member development.
Receive and reconcile food deliveries. Organize inventory using FIFO method.
Provide ideas and input on how we can improve store operations and improve the customer experience.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
