We are seeking an Order Picker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently picking customer orders for shipment.

Work week Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 3pm-11pm

Responsibilities:

1. Accurately record clock in and out times using Clock Shark mobile App download required.

2. Maintain warehouse inventory pick-spots and reverse-locations. Using first in and first out Methodology. Dating boxes.

3. Preparing and Maintaining Products Needed for Order

4. Maintaining a current stock in the Pre-Kitting areas, moving product from storage “reserve locations to Pre-kitting pick spot

5. Accurately read and interpret the different service routes in light speed for daily work flow per area and daily pick item count.

6. Accurately identify different routes, business, teacher lounge, and markets to properly pick and store items.

7. Reading and interpreting location orders accurately from the Light Speed system.

8. Navigating the warehouse areas using Light-Speed’s optimized area picking to locate and select items

9. Pick and pack area orders into proper totes, craters or bins. Blue large crates for all drinks, colored totes for chips and snacks, Black small milk crates for food.

10. Properly and accurately apply Light-Speed’s orders ticket labels per totes or crate

11. Storage of each routes totes and items in designated route staging area, Perform visual inspections to ensure orders are correct and ready for shipment.

12. Following safety procedures and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. “ clean as you go”

13. Proper and safe operations of warehouse equipment such pallet jacks and dollies

14. Receiving into inventory new product entering the warehouse; from internal sources

15. Following protocol to receive returning product from drives

16. Maintaining inventory records using receiving protocols.

17. Separate training and documentation.

18. Must be able to adhere to communications guidelines and protocols to complete job duties and escalation items.

19. Maintains an acceptable Weekly 98% level of accuracy while selecting foodservice orders

20. Maintains an acceptable level of production and accuracy while selecting foodservice orders.

21. Loads totes and bins to ensure safe delivery of product to customers.

22. Adheres to all Preferred Work Methods and Standard Operating Procedures.

23. Understand and comply with DAC policies and procedures, e.g. health and safety.

24. Carries out duties in a safe manner as instructed through safety training, End of shift cleaning and facing product.

25. Performs other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager and Supervisors.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:

ü Ability to work in a hot warehouse environment frequently

ü Basic math skills.

ü English fluency - reading and verbal

ü Familiarity with Light-Speed Picking System or similar warehouse management systems.

ü High School diploma or equivalent

ü Medium to high level of physical exertion is required; repetitive, continuous lifting up to 70 pounds

ü Reliable transportation to and from work

ü Safety conscious with a teamwork attitude

ü Strong communication and teamwork skills.

As a permanent full-time Order Selector on swing shift, you will be required to pick on average 14 items per minute. 780 items per hour, 6,240. Items per day 8HR SHIFT.

Items picked over this rate will be paid a high rate. To offset the hours saved

Packing into totes, 30-50lbs per pounds per packed tote. Warehouse environments fluctuate between unconditioned warehouse space to working out of freezers and cooler. Starting hourly wage is $15-16 per hour and then increases to $16-17 per hour after 6 months. Shift starts are between 3:00pm- 11:00pm, with 5 shifts per week occurring from Sunday to Thursday. Each shift is for 8hr hours. Any overtime will be approved as required by work volume. (Average work volume Due to nature of business, this position will be required to work on certain holidays with additional holiday pay or time off in lieu.

Our high volume warehouse runs very lean and efficiently, regular attendance is expected and managed appropriately.

This is a physically demanding role, with continual walking, standing, stretching, bending, and lifting throughout the entire shift. However, this can also be a very rewarding role with additional pay incentives that can be earned - with the potential to earn up to $400 extra monthly bonus
