Job Description:
As a Prep Cook/Line Cook at The Rhum House, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality dishes while maintaining cleanliness and precision in our kitchen. You’ll collaborate with our culinary team to ensure consistency, speed, and safety in every dish prepared. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for food, looking to grow in a fast-paced, fine dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and execute menu items on both the hot and cold lines.
Manage volume efficiently during peak service times.
Maintain a clean, organized, and consistent workstation while following safe and ethical food handling procedures.
Open and close the kitchen for different shifts, ensuring all tasks are completed to standard.
Conduct deep cleaning regularly to maintain the health and safety of the kitchen and equipment.
Report to the Kitchen Manager/Chef or Shift Lead regarding responsibilities, questions, or concerns.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in food service or back-of-house operations is preferred.
Proficiency in basic knife skills and recipe comprehension.
Ability to memorize line procedures and cooking techniques.
Strong time-management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift at least 40 pounds.
Clear communicator with a professional and positive attitude.
Commitment to maintaining the core values of the business, including teamwork, cleanliness, and transparency.
