Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our facilities maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial cleaning and a passion for keeping spaces clean and well-maintained. The Janitor will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, adhering to high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

- Perform industrial cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Utilize porter skills to assist with general maintenance, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
- Clean and maintain floors, including buffing and polishing, to ensure a high level of shine and appearance.
- Participate in facilities maintenance, including painting and repairing, to ensure the overall condition of the facility.
- Use cleaning products and equipment responsibly and in accordance with established safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to waste management procedures.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure a smooth and efficient cleaning and maintenance process.

Requirements:

- Prior experience in industrial cleaning and custodial roles.
- Proven experience in floor care and porter duties.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance and the ability to perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Experience with painting and repair tasks is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.99 - $19.00 per hour
