Job Overview

We are seeking evening and night time Janitorial employees on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the Downtown Gainesville area . Looking for people who are dedicated and detail-oriented to join our facilities maintenance team. As a Janitor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, including residential and commercial spaces. The ideal candidates should have some background in custodial and floor care, with a commitment to providing a high level of service to our clients.

Duties

- Clean and maintain all areas of the facility, including offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
- Perform industrial and commercial cleaning tasks as needed
- Utilize specialized equipment, such as buffing machines, to maintain floors and surfaces
- Conduct porter duties, including emptying trash and recycling bins
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and health regulations
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas in need of attention
- Perform residential painting duties as assigned
- Collaborate with facilities maintenance team members to ensure seamless operations

Qualifications

- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, preferably in residential or commercial settings
- Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures and techniques
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and supplies
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance software and scheduling systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- High school diploma or equivalent required
