Job Summary

The industrial janitor position is responsible for providing a clean, presentable and safe environment through a variety of custodial duties. This position will work under limited supervision and requires daily action to maintain optimal building condition.

Summary of essential Job functions

Ø Perform basic housekeeping/cleaning tasks; dusting, sweeping, mopping

Ø Operate basic cleaning equipment (vacuum, mop, carpet and/or hard floor cleaner)

Ø Dust/wash furniture, walls, machines, equipment routinely

Ø Daily trash removal in all assigned areas of the shop

Ø Daily exterior landscape inspections, remove and dispose of debris

Ø Assist with snow removal and maintaining safe walkways during winter months

Ø Daily restroom checks for cleanliness and supplies; service as needed

Ø Adhere to company safety policies contributing to a safe work environment

Summary of secondary Job functions

Ø Assist with setting up conference rooms and/or breakrooms for employee meetings/events

Ø Perform other duties as assigned by management

Ø Assist maintenance technicians as needed

Qualifications required

Ø High School diploma or equivalent

Ø Able to climb ladders/use appropriate fall protection that may be required for cleaning equipment. I.e. Scissors lift.

Ø Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask

Ø Strong communication and organizational skills

Ø Excellent attendance record

Ø Flexibility to assist with on-call/overtime work if needed

Ø 1 Year Previous janitorial/custodian experience preferred

Ø Able to lift 30-50 lbs

Ø Must have reliable transportation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
