Boner Community Center is seeking a dedicated Maintenance and Housekeeping Specialist to ensure our properties, including multifamily units, single-family homes, and commercial buildings, shine both inside and out. As a vital member of our team, you'll contribute to maintaining the high standards our community relies on, while enjoying a dynamic and supportive work environment.

Day in the Life

Imagine starting your day with a quick team meeting, discussing the day's housekeeping and maintenance priorities. You grab your cleaning supplies and head off to tackle the tasks ahead. You start by cleaning the restrooms, ensuring they are sparkling clean and sanitized for our community members. Next, you sweep and mop the floors, taking special care with the tile floors, which you wet mop weekly to maintain their luster.

As you move through the building, you spot wash doors, woodwork, and molding, keeping an eye out for any areas that need attention. You make sure the kitchen, classroom, and lobby areas are tidy and inviting, ready for community events and meetings. Throughout the day, you also manage janitorial equipment, ensuring everything is clean, safe, and in good working condition.

You collaborate with the administrative staff, informing them about needed supplies and assisting with room setups for group meetings. Occasionally, you supervise Community Service workers for specific projects, ensuring they understand their tasks and work safely. Your day wraps up with some record-keeping and reporting to track your accomplishments and plan for tomorrow's tasks.

You Would Thrive in This Position If

You have at least 1 year of housekeeping experience.
You're highly skilled in vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing various flooring materials.
You have a proven record of cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, showers, and locker rooms.
You can maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
You're adept at using chemicals safely and restocking supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
You're well-versed in inspecting premises and buildings to ensure cleanliness and safety.
You have a track record of completing assigned tasks effectively within limited time frames.
You have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
You present a professional appearance and have an extremely friendly approach.
You communicate effectively with managers, guests, and coworkers, providing excellent customer service.
