Cleaning Office Support

Heartland Dental is looking for a Cleaning Office Support to join our team.

To give you an idea of the team structure, you will work on a team, reporting to the Practice Manager of Operations.

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

Clean and sanitize assigned areas by maintaining furnishings, counters and mopping floors with special cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent the spread of disease. Uses damp, disinfectant-treated cloths and vacuum cleaner to dust windowsills, blinds, floors and floorboards, furniture, and equipment in an orderly fashion. Scours and polishes sinks, toilets, mirrors, and other equipment.
Assembles materials and supplies from the supply room and transports them to the work area.
Replenishes supplies of soap, towels, and other dispensable items.
Reports mechanical failures or negative conditions observed in assigned area to the Practice Manager of Operations.
Remove trash and recycling, and ensure that all waste is disposed of properly. Washes wastebaskets as needed, and relines with plastic bags.
Manage the cleaning supply inventory and communicate re-ordering needs to ordering assistant to prevent running out of supply.

Minimum Requirements:

High school graduate or GED required.
Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare setting required.
Must know how to use common housecleaning implements such as mops and scouring pads to keep areas clean and well serviced.
Must know how to care for equipment, how to measure cleaning solutions, and to be alert to hazards.
Ability to follow oral or written instructions.
Must wear appropriate PPE as required.
Must have strong knowledge of infection control practices in a dental office.
Must have knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, and pull.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
