Duties and Responsibilities:

Operates commercial capacity washers and dryers and machines in accordance with safety standards.
Folds and packs all Laundry as needed.
Sorts Linen as needed.
Maintains laundry area in a clean and orderly manner.
Monitors laundry supplies
Inspects all laundry for stains and wear.
Understands laundry chemicals and uses appropriately; follows safety procedures
Maintains safe work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations, including wearing of proper Personal Protective Equipment
May pack cleaners’ bags and label according to cabin assignments, when needed.
Works with and has complete knowledge of all laundry equipment.
May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Possession of a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (G.E.D.) and one year experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above. Laundry experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Ability to work independently
Able to stand for long periods of time
