JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the Company’s facility as well as assisting the Maintenance staff during all scheduled preventative maintenance activities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains cleanliness of all floors, including, but not limited to, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, waxing, buffing, stripping, and/or sealing. Cleans all washroom facilities. Cleans walls and windows and dusts furniture and fixtures moving furniture when necessary. Empties all trash containers. Maintains inventory of supplies needed to carry out duties. Maintains cleanliness of Company grounds by sweeping parking areas and sidewalks and picking up and emptying garbage. Removes snow from Company sidewalks and parking areas. May be required to perform lawn maintenance.
Maintains Production area, including equipment cleaning, floors, and all work areas to ensure clear pedestrian traffic paths. Removes/empties all trash, and production waste. Alerts appropriate personnel of any potential hazardous areas/conditions.
Operates powered Stand Up Pallet Jack, Floor Scrubber, and Floor Sweeper. Assists Maintenance staff during all scheduled machine preventative maintenance activities, including the use of simple battery-powered tools and standard hand tools.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
One to three years of work experience as a janitor is required.
Self-motivated and hard-working.
Basic mathematical skills.
Ability to read and write.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to operate various cleaning equipment and power tools.
Ability to frequently lift objects weighing up to and including 75 pounds.
Ability to frequently carry objects weighing up to and including 75 pounds.
Ability to frequently push and/or pull objects weighing up to and including 75 pounds.
Ability to crawl, bend, kneel, climb, and/or squat.
Ability to withstand exposure to extreme climate variations; exposure to heat and cold.
Ability to frequently stand/walk.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.75 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34.5 – 46 per week
