Summary
The Janitorial Worker position requires individuals with a strong background in cleaning and janitorial experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in floor care and commercial cleaning. Additionally, experience in industrial cleaning, facilities maintenance, porter duties, maintenance, and buffing will be beneficial for this role. The Janitorial Worker will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in various facilities, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

MULTIPLE SHIFTS AVAILABLE - 40 HOUR SHIFT

Qualifications

Janitorial/Maintenance Service: 2 years (Preferred)
2+ years of experience (preferred) as either a cleaner or janitor of mall, or office building in Long Island (Hicksville)
Willing to work off hours including nights and weekends in case of emergencies

Duties:

Empty all garbage receptacles.
Complete vacuuming of all carpet areas, where applicable.
Sweep all composition flooring with chemically treated dust mop.
Clean all Terrazzo floors with a ride-on floor scrubber.
Thoroughly clean elevator with stainless steel cleaner.
Thoroughly clean escalator steps using appropriate equipment, clean interior panels, stainless steel ledges and deflectors, wipe down / disinfect all handrail straps.
Spot clean all corridor walls and wash floors using the ride-on floor scrubber.
Entrances will be swept, mopped, vacuumed where applicable and glass doors will be cleaned on both sides including wiping down frames.
Thoroughly clean all tabletops, chairs, and high glass throughout all common areas
Use ride-on & walk behind floor cleaning equipment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
