RESPONSIBLE FOR GENERAL WAREHOUSE DUTIES, INCLUDING OPERATING A FORKLIFT TO MOVE, LOCATE, RELOCATE, STACK, AND COUNT MERCHANDISE WITHIN A WAREHOUSE OR DISTRIBUTION CENTER ENVIRONMENT.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Performs general warehouse duties, including hand unloading specialty freight that can weigh up to 70 lbs.
- Receive inbound and process outbound freight- must be able to read customer instructions/BOL/Receiving, or pick ticket, etc. and able to fill out paperwork for outbounds.
- Inspect product for any damage prior to unloading and immediately report if any damage is found.
- Operate a forklift to load and unload materials and deliveries and able to use the correct piece of equipment for the project (e.g., size and type of forklift)
- performs QA checks to check for proper location, stacking and damage.
- Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment, including checking oil and water daily.
- Maintain material-handling equipment by recharging, cleaning, oiling, refueling, and other necessary actions.
- Loads trailers and inspects products for damage prior to loading.
- Prepares outbound shipments and related records.
- Performs cross docks by safely transloading product and completed proper paperwork.
- Loads product from shipping documents.
- Assists in weekly/monthly inventories.
- Performs general housekeeping in warehouse.
- Restacks product if leakage or damage occurs.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a High School Diploma, or GED.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator with 5+ years’ experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting
- Have prior experience with specialized freight and able to do hand unloads as needed.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions for use, directions, and safety manuals.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with fellow workers.
- Ability to handle physical workload including lifting heavy objects that can weigh up to 70lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Basic math skills for inventory management
SAFETY:
· Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
· Comply with all OSHA rules and regulations as well as RFMX safety rules and regulations.
· Always wear PPE such as safety-toed shoes, reflective gear, etc.
· Responsible for ensuring warehouse safety by quickly cleaning or removing all safety hazards, such as wet floors, packaging, and tools left out of place.
· Identify products that have SDS forms, make sure everything is properly labeled and understand how to contain spills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
