The dual Restaurant Manager works in concert with the General Managers of Revival and The Rooftop to ensure optimum performance, exceptional guest service, and maximum profitability. They will train and motivate staff to exceed goals.
The Restaurant Manager shall always strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests. They will be responsible for exemplifying each restaurant outlet’s culture as well as promoting the whole property as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!
- Primary Duties & Responsibilities**
- Assist the Restaurant General Managers in day-to-day operations.
- The Restaurant Manager will take responsibility for the FOH acting as quality control, ensuring customer satisfaction through training employees properly and adhering to company standards.
- Supports and Manages the restaurant outlets while working closely with the Restaurant General Managers and other Hotel Departments.
- Lead and coach the Team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results.
- Develop and implement creative strategies for revenue enhancement and cost containment.
- Takes initiative to develop and execute new promotions, events, etc.
- Conducts daily and recurring staff meetings to include ongoing training and safety classes.
- Responsible for daily report input and logbook entries.
- Enforces high standards of hygiene and sanitation within the outlets.
- Ensures the security of monies, credit, and financial transactions.
- Establishes par levels for supplies and equipment.
- Supervises the performance, attendance, attitudes, appearance and conduct of team members.
- Provides prompt follow-up to all guest concerns.
- Communicates all pertinent information to the outlet's team
- Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to the on-duty supervisor.
- Ensures proper handling, cleaning, and sanitation of equipment, china, glass, and silver.
Note that this is not an inclusive list and team members are at times asked to assist with other tasks to best serve the business. Other tasks may be assigned by the property Assistant General Manager or other managers.
Education & Experience
- College degree or equivalent in work experience.
- 3-4 years of restaurant management experience in the hospitality industry preferred. Previous leadership experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Commitment to guest satisfaction and service excellence. Able to promote customer service and focus among staff.
- In-depth working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and food preparation/presentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, speak, and understand English in order to both give and follow directions, and procedures and communicate with the team and guests.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles including cost and payroll control, budgeting, and analyzing financial data
- Able to forecast and strategically plan for business needs relating to both inventory and staffing.
- Proven ability to maximize profitability and proficiency in operation with a high degree of quality.
- Strong interpersonal and interaction skills.
- Excel at leading and developing team members in a proactive and positive manner.
- Ability to become TiPS certified within 30 days of employment. Course and certification paid by The Vendue.

- MS Office Suite, Micros POS Computer, Various kitchen equipment and beverage equipment.
Physical & Mental Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work varied schedules from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours including holidays and weekends with flexibility in schedule from time to time with minimal notice.
- Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, perform, and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Must be able to cope with frequently changing priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism & collaboration.
- Ability to multitask and delegate effectively.
- Must be able to stand and walk 8+ hours. Frequently required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Regularly required to talk and hear. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
- Frequently required to use hands to handle, feel, and reach. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard computer equipment.
- Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds; push and pull equipment, supplies, etc., at least 30 pounds.
Work Environment
- Primarily in The Rooftop, Banquet Events and Revival guest areas, kitchen, storage areas and F&B offices.
- Must be able to be outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat).
- Secondarily in other areas of the hotel including but not limited to guest rooms, public areas, and meeting spaces.

Salary
- $55,000-$60,000 annual salary depending upon experience
- Annual bonus opportunities
