We are seeking an Environmental Services Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff. This role plays a crucial part in infection prevention and control by ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of patient rooms, common areas and hospital facilities.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, dusting and vacuuming patient rooms, corridors and assigned areas.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces and equipment to prevent infections.
- Collect and dispose of waste and hazardous materials according to hospital protocols.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, soap and paper towels in restrooms and designated areas.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Collaborate with other EVS team members and hospital staff to meet cleanliness standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy.
- Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, lifting and standing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
