Seattle City Light is hiring for two janitorial positions. As a member of the City Light custodial crew, you will provide cleaning and recycling services at various City Light Facilities. These positions report to the Building/Facilities Operations Supervisor.
Required Qualifications: In addition to the skills and experience mentioned below, a successful applicant will have experience that reflects a commitment to creating fair and equitable outcomes and has:
- Required to stand, walk, or bend for extended periods of time.
- Frequently required to lift objects weighing 50 pounds or less.
- Requires handling or working with toxic/hazardous substances.
- Required to work outdoors in all types of weather.
- Required to work on ladders/scaffolding above ground level.
Licenses & Certifications: Current Washington State Driver's License or evidence of equivalent mobility.
Desired Qualifications - You will be successful if you have the following experience, skills, and abilities:
- One year janitorial services experience (combination of education, training and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis for comparability).
- Experience cleaning a variety of building types and/or structures with different business uses; operating floor machines and mechanical cleaners; and experience with waste and recycling programs.
- Janitorial experience working in an industrial complex
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software applications.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with good interpersonal skills.
- Experience operating floor machines
- Experience cleaning restrooms and locker rooms

The full salary range for this position is $25.94to $27.94 per hour.
