The laundry attendant is responsible for managing and maintaining the laundry services within a facility, ensuring that all linens, uniforms, and other textiles are cleaned, pressed, and stored according to established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sorting and Washing: Sort laundry by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements; operate washing machines and dryers efficiently.
- Folding and Storing: Fold and organize clean laundry; ensure proper storage of linens and uniforms.
- Stain Treatment: Identify and treat stains using appropriate cleaning agents and methods.
- Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and maintain laundry equipment; report any malfunctions or needed repairs.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of laundry supplies (detergents, fabric softeners, etc.) and request additional stock when necessary.
