The Aseptic Cleaning Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sterility of the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facility. This role ensures that all areas meet strict industry standards and regulatory requirements, minimizing contamination risks and supporting the production of high-quality cell therapy products.
Key Responsibilities:
Aseptic Cleaning:
- Perform routine and thorough cleaning and sanitization of cleanrooms, production areas, and laboratory environments following GMP guidelines.
- Use approved cleaning agents and disinfectants in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Adhere to aseptic techniques to prevent contamination and ensure the sterility of the environment.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Accurately complete and maintain cleaning logs, batch records, and other required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Participate in internal and external audits as needed.
Equipment and Supplies:
- Properly handle and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning materials and report needs to the supervisor.
- Ensure all cleaning tools and materials are stored appropriately to prevent contamination.
Safety and Training:
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Participate in ongoing training programs to stay updated with GMP regulations and best practices.
- Report any deviations, non-conformances, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with production, quality assurance, and other teams to ensure a coordinated approach to cleanliness and compliance.
- Assist in the development and improvement of cleaning procedures and protocols.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional certification in aseptic techniques or GMP training preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a GMP facility or pharmaceutical environment preferred.
- Familiarity with aseptic cleaning procedures and regulatory requirements.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Good documentation practices.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capability to lift and move objects up to [specific weight, e.g., 25 pounds].
- Willingness to wear required protective clothing and equipment.
