- From $27.46 to $33.28 per hour, in addition to annual allowances such as a $2,140 Correctional Service Specific Duty Allowance (CSSDA), an Inmate Training Differential and/or a Supervisory Differential.

The Cleaning Services Officer (GS-BUS-04) performs various activities related to the maintenance of facilities such as, but not limited to:
- Perform cleaning tasks in the institution or Community Correctional Centre
- Order, store and maintain inventory of all sanitation products
- Supervise the distribution of sanitation supplies and cleaning equipment
- Implement practices to meet health and safety standards
- Ensure the maintenance and repair of cleaning equipment
- Conduct cleaning inspections
- Train and supervise inmates employed in the cleaning program
The Cleaning Services Supervisor (GS-BUS-05) manages a team of Cleaning Services Officers and their responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise, control and coordinate cleaning and housekeeping services
- Supervise and train, directly or through Cleaning Services Officers, inmates employed in the cleaning program
- Order and store cleaning products, equipment and maintenance supplies and maintain inventory
- Ensure budget compliance for cleaning services
- Inspect operational units or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met, and arrange for additional maintenance, repairs, cleaning equipment replacement, furniture relocation and pest control inspections
- Perform administrative duties, including attending meetings and developing, producing and processing various cleaning-related documents
- Use and maintain material handling equipment and cleaning equipment as required
- Maintain tool control procedures at all times

EDUCATION:
For GS-BUS-04 and GS-BUS-05 positions:
Successful completion of three (3) years of secondary school OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Degree equivalency
EXPERIENCES:
For the GS-BUS-04 positions:
Experience in one or more of the following fields:
- providing cleaning or maintenance services OR
- handling services OR
- warehousing OR
- shipping and receiving OR
- purchasing and distribution
in commercial, residential settings, multi-residential or institutional facilities.
Note: This experience may be gained through employment or volunteer work.
For the GS-BUS-05 positions:
Significant experience* in one or more of the following fields:
- providing cleaning or maintenance services OR
- handling services OR
- warehousing OR
- shipping and receiving OR
- purchasing and distribution
In commercial, residential settings, multi-residential or institutional facilities.
- Significant experience is normally acquired over six (6) months on a full-time basis.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
For GS-BUS-04 and GS-BUS-05 positions:
- A secondary school diploma

CERTIFICATION:
For GS-BUS-04 and GS-BUS-05 positions:
- Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
- Bloodborne Pathogens Certificate
- Hazmat Training Certificate
EXPERIENCE:
For GS-BUS-04 and GS-BUS-05 positions:
- Experience providing cleaning, housekeeping, or maintenance services in commercial, residential, multiresidential, or institutional facility settings.
- Experience working in a correctional environment.
- Experience in the operation, maintenance or repair of industrial cleaning equipment.
- Experience in the supervision and training of individuals.
- Experience in ordering and distributing commercial supplies and equipment.
- Experience in the proper techniques and methods to clean up bodily fluids or biohazard spills.
- Experience in the proper techniques and methods to clean up hazardous materials.
- Experience in cleaning services in a Healthcare facility.
- Experience with different types of recycle programs.
- Experience in pest control.
For GS-BUS-05 positions:
- Experience in financial resources management.
- Experience in human resources management.
