Responsibilities:
Personal Care Assistance:
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with medication reminders with the clients.
Companionship:
- Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to provide emotional support and companionship.
- Accompany clients on walks, outings, and social events.
Meal Preparation:
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Assist with feeding if necessary.
Household Assistance:
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for the elderly individual.
Mobility Assistance:
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and exercises as healthcare professionals recommend.
- Utilize assistive devices as needed.
Communication:
- Regularly communicate with family members and the care team regarding the client's condition and any changes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in elderly care.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle medical emergencies calmly and efficiently.
Requirements:
- Must undergo a background check and drug screen.
- Reliable transportation for getting to and from shifts.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 45 per week
