Old Man’s Haven has owned and operated cabin rentals in The Hocking Hills for over 30 years. We are a family run business with four cabin rentals all located on our 80 acre property.
We have two two-bedroom and two one-bedroom cabins. Daily duties would include hot tub and firewood checks, turnover cleaning and Laundry. Additional duties that would be performed on a less regular basis include draining and refilling hot tubs, refilling firewood sheds and annual spring cleaning.
Turnover cleaning – complete a checklist including but not limited to wiping all kitchen appliances and counters, cleaning all bathroom fixtures, dust, make beds, vacuum, mop, check hot tub, sweep porch, clean wood burning fireplace.
Daily hot tub and firewood checks (for in house guests)– Test chemical composition of hot tub and adjust as needed. Check firewood boxes and refill as needed.
Hot tubs are drained and refilled approximately once a month. Firewood sheds are refilled every three to four months. Spring cleaning is performed annually.
All turnover cleaning and cabin checks will take place between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm. Your daily schedule will vary depending on cabin turnover. 15-20 hours per week.
An ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and take pride in creating a clean and welcoming space. They will have strong organizational skills and be able to work without supervision. Excellent time management skills are also required to ensure all tasks are completed in appropriate timeframes.
