Overview
The Outside Sales Agent at COIT Cleaning & Restoration is responsible for generating new business and expanding relationships with both residential and commercial clients. This role involves identifying potential customers, delivering persuasive presentations on the company’s range of cleaning and restoration services, and closing sales to meet revenue targets. The Outside Sales Agent acts as the face of COIT, providing expert knowledge about services such as carpet cleaning, tile & grout cleaning, air duct cleaning, upholstery cleaning, and hardwood floor care. Success in this role requires strong sales acumen, excellent communication, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Duties
- Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development:
- Prospect for new business by identifying potential clients through networking, cold calling, door-to-door sales, referrals, and other lead-generation methods.
- Conduct on-site inspections and evaluations to assess customer needs for cleaning and restoration services.
- Present and explain COIT’s services to potential customers, emphasizing the value, quality, and benefits of professional cleaning and restoration.
- Develop and deliver tailored service proposals and estimates that meet the specific needs of clients.
- Follow up with prospects to ensure that all questions are addressed and that clients are moving forward in the sales process.
- Account Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with current clients to ensure satisfaction with services, address any concerns, and identify additional service opportunities.
- Actively seek referrals and repeat business from satisfied customers to expand the client base.
- Work closely with operations teams to ensure customer expectations are communicated effectively and jobs are completed to the client’s satisfaction.
- Sales Reporting and Goals:
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions in the CRM system.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports detailing efforts, progress toward goals, and challenges encountered.
- Market Research and Strategy:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions.
- Identify opportunities for COIT to differentiate itself from competitors and gain market share.
- Provide feedback to management regarding customer preferences, service gaps, or new market opportunities.
- Marketing Collaboration:
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns and promotions aimed at generating leads.
- Participate in community events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote COIT’s brand and services.
- Distribute marketing materials and participate in canvassing efforts to raise awareness of COIT’s offerings in designated territories.
- Customer Service:
- Act as a point of contact for customers throughout the sales process, providing clear and timely communication about scheduling, service options, and pricing.
- Resolve customer issues or complaints by coordinating with internal teams and ensuring quick, effective solutions.
- Deliver a positive, professional experience for every customer, from initial contact through service completion.
Requirements
Physical & Technical Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required to travel to customer sites within assigned territories.
- Proficient in the use of CRM software, Microsoft Office, and mobile technology.
- Ability to walk through customer properties, including stairs and other challenging environments, to conduct inspections.
Work Environment:
- The Outside Sales Agent will spend the majority of their time in the field, visiting residential and commercial client sites.
- Some office time is required for paperwork, reporting, and team meetings.
- Occasional participation in events or trade shows may require weekend or evening availability.
- Proven track record of success in outside sales or a similar role, preferably in service-based industries such as cleaning, restoration, or home services.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a focus on meeting customer needs while achieving sales targets.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of cleaning and restoration services (carpet cleaning, air duct cleaning, tile & grout cleaning, upholstery cleaning, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to quickly learn and communicate the value and technical aspects of COIT’s services to clients.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and persuade both residential and commercial clients.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with a customer-centric approach and the ability to maintain long-term client relationships.
- Self-Motivation & Organization:
- Highly self-motivated with strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage a sales pipeline, and follow through on leads without close supervision.
- Strong attention to detail in preparing proposals, estimates, and sales reports.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
