Responsibilities
- Oversee the hotel's cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance, ensuring adherence to the highest standards in all guest rooms and public areas.
- Develop and manage the annual housekeeping budget, maintain optimal stock levels of guest and cleaning supplies, linen, and uniforms, and coordinate inventory management with the Accounts and General Store.
- Implement and refine housekeeping systems and procedures, including pest control measures, to maintain a 5-star standard throughout the hotel.
- Lead and supervise the housekeeping team, focusing on effective on-the-job training, performance evaluation, and staff recruitment as needed.
- Collaborate with the maintenance department to schedule and oversee preventive maintenance of rooms and public areas and assist the Purchasing Department in selecting housekeeping-related suppliers.
- Actively respond to and resolve guest complaints and requests, ensuring exceptional guest experiences; conduct daily inspections and briefings to maintain operational excellence.
- Champion the “Pearl of Apalachicola” ethos by leading with a compassionate and quality-focused approach, being readily available as the first line of coverage for staff, and maintaining the overall aesthetic and cleanliness of the property, including the courtyard and surrounding areas.
Qualifications
- Strong Leadership abilities and organizational skills
- Entrepreneurial, with the ability to think outside of the box
- Able to drive change and find ways to make things work better across departments.
- Experience in budget planning and cost control, preferably in hospitality or similar environments.
- Able to lead with love and show the highest level of respect for guests, staff, and self.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual Salary: $40,000 to $45,000 based on experience and achievement.

Schedule: As Executive Housekeeper, you’ll be the first line of coverage when staff calls out. You must be flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, holidays and weekends, as needed.
