Under the direction of the Custodian Supervisor, perform a full range of cleaning duties, individually or as part of a group, on a daily basis in the Student Health & Wellness Center. Custodians operate a full range of power cleaning equipment.

Minimum Qualifications
- No educational minimum is associated with the position
- Experience performing custodial work.
- Experience in using and knowledge of basic custodial equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, auto scrubbers and buffers.
- Experience using Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Skills to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to complete cleaning jobs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience preforming custodial work in a medical facility.
- Skills to organize and prioritize workload to complete work effectively.
- Knowledge of standard safety precautions and rules used in custodial work.
- Customer service skills.

Department Overview
Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS) provides primary care, mental health, urgent care, laboratory, pharmacy, health education and counseling services to registered UC Davis students. SHCS serves approximately 300 patients per day during the school year. The mission is to provide campus health and wellness resources that enable students to successfully achieve their academic goals and life-long wellness. SHCS has approximately 200 staff including managers, senior professionals, professional and support staff, student employees, interns and post doc residents. SHCS is accredited by AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care), and IACS (International Association for Counseling Services). Work Environment
This position is subject to completion of a Pre-Placement Medical Examination provided by Occupational Health Services, given at no charge to the applicant. Employee shall participate in required preventive medical and medical monitoring programs, which may include blood tests, immunizations, TB screening, Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogen training, etc., and are provided to meet Federal, State and University requirements.
