Job Summary
JOB TITLE: Janitor
Type of Position: FULL-TIME- Hours 40/ week, OT required when dictated by business need.
POSITION SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Perform cleaning & maintenance duties inside and outside buildings as assigned.
- Operate Material Handling equipment to move materials.
- Collect trash daily, bale corrugate, clean floors with equipment.
- Yard maintenance such as mowing and snow removal.
- Backup to Yard truck driver to assist in moving materials around the yard.
- Backup for janitorial tasks maintaining bathrooms.
- Will be assigned any other duties required to meet business needs.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Take ownership to keep areas neat and clean, picking up debris constantly.
- Budget time to complete all tasks on time.
- Check with Team Leaders regularly to insure their satisfaction.
- Operate powered material handling equipment.
- Must be able to write, read, and speak English
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to lift up to 100 lbs, utilizing safe lifting techniques at all times.
- Push and pull 500 lbs using a hand jack.
- Ability to climb and stand on a ladder.
- Stand most of the day, climb stairs and push, pull and move items most of the day.
