Amavida is recruiting for a hospitality focused Dishwasher to join our team! This position understands how to set up, operate and shut down the dish machine. They are knowledgeable of storage locations for all washed items. The dishwasher is responsible for proper cleaning and handling of all utensils, pots, pans, plates, glassware, and silverware in the dishwasher area.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dishwasher:
- Exemplify at all times Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and operational organization.
- Wash dishes and kitchen utensils and inspects all dishware and glassware, ensuring highest standards of cleanliness.
- Monitor the temperature of the dishwashing machine on a daily basis to insure that the machine is operating properly. Notify the Director promptly of any unacceptable temperature readings.
- Remove from service all cracked or broken dishes or damaged utensils that might be hazardous to residents. Notify the Director of damage.
- Store dishes, glassware, and utensils properly for use at the next mealtime.
- Dispose of all trash in a proper manner.
- Clean dishwashing machine inside and out after each shift. Deep-clean kitchen on a monthly basis.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floor, walk-in refrigerator, and freezer each evening.
- Performs assigned cleaning assignments according to established policies and utilizes the proper cleaning chemicals. Keeps work areas clean and uncluttered.
- Represents the community in a warm and inviting manner.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least six (6) months experience in a commercial kitchen operation is preferred
- Individuals must be able to read, write, and speak the English language to be able to communicate effectively
This is a part-time position with the following Pay Range : $14.00 - $16.00/ hour based on experience
