Job Summary:
The Cleaner is responsible for all basic cleaning in and around the facility.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Levels I through II: None
- Level III: May review, mentor, or oversee the work of other department employees
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Cleans and maintains factory and industrial equipment
- Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
- Notifies managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
- Sets up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies
- Monitors and maintains sanitation and organization of assigned areas
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Able to work cohesively as part of a team
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Previous cleaning experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Able to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Able to lift up to 30lbs at times
- Able to work with a variety of cleaning products
