We are seeking a Housekeeper to join our team at our properties in Hollywood and Miami, Florida. We operate both Airbnb and boutique hotels. Responsibilities include:
- Reporting to work on time, with the appropriate uniform, and in accordance with the company's standards for personal appearance
- Sanitizing and disinfecting all designated bathrooms and rooms
- Adhering to the prescribed order for room allocations
- Cleaning windows in guest rooms to hotel standards
- Replacing all furnishings and linens in accordance with hotel requirements
- Keeping the linen and cart closets tidy and organized
- Informing the supervisor of any abnormalities, including hotplates, pets, suspicious people and behavior, strange things, and activities
- Notifying Supervisors of errors like empty rooms, etc
- Submitting lost and found goods in accordance with hotel rules
- Reporting of valuable objects left unattended in corridors and rooms
- Cleaning allocated rooms within the inspection standards of the shift
- Placing Room Service trays on the floor by the room entrance after removing them from the rooms
- Replacing damaged light bulbs in accordance with hotel requirements
- Carrying out basic repairs, such as glueing or tightening doorknobs
- Helping to prepare and thoroughly clean VIP rooms
- Removing stains from walls and carpets
- Carrying out unique cleaning projects and refilling cleaning bottles in accordance with departmental requirements
- Interacting with visitors with exceptional guest relations skills
- Treating visitors with professionalism and courtesy
- Ensuring maximum client satisfaction and recurring business by anticipating guests' requirements and acting sensitively and quickly
- Being familiar with or informed about the hotel, and able to describe where the hotel's amenities are located and when they are open
- Fulfilling customer information and service requests
- Showing a warm disposition toward coworkers and the entire hotel staff and treating everyone respectfully
- Consistently having an optimistic outlook in order to provide the best possible service to customers
- Recognizing returning visitors
- Adhering to protocol while always respecting the need for privacy on the part of the visitor when entering guest rooms
- Handling all visitor complaints in accordance with Star Service Standards, notifying administrator of acts
- Adhering to hotel policies and procedures addressing emergencies, safe work practices, and wearing protective equipment as appropriate, as well as OSHA standards
- Following hotel cleaning standards and procedures and OSHA laws to maintain the establishment's professional appearance
- Having a thorough understanding of appropriate cleaning techniques for different surfaces
- Using the appropriate cleaning supplies in accordance with the department's procedures
- Having a thorough understanding of the policies and procedures for caring for carpets and upholstery
- Following set cleaning schedules and procedures to prolong carpet life and maintain the hotel's professional appearance
- Carrying out all tasks promptly and competently
- Visually evaluating all areas before leaving them
- Obeying protocols for key distribution and return, room prioritization, record-keeping, and status updates
- Utilizing teamwork and practical expertise to complete additional assignments as given
- Observing hotel call handling, messaging, and etiquette rules
- Daily reading of the departmental log book and notice board
- Obeying operating and maintenance instructions for all necessary equipment
- Respecting all applicable HOSTAR policies and guidelines
- Adhering to guidelines and instructions when preparing for and providing turndown service
- Participating as scheduled in all department meetings
- Respecting established standards and procedures by keeping designated closets and employee spaces clean
- Demonstrating the capacity to offer coverage in relevant areas as required
- Promoting and using collaborative techniques at all times
- Notifying the supervisor of any equipment or supply needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.50 per hour
