Restoration technicians offer hope to victims of natural disasters and catastrophic events like fires and floods. More commonly, they respond to emergencies where damage has occurred to residential and commercial properties from fire, broken pipes, backups, and water intrusion. Technicians are an integral part of the mitigation team and are often the first person to help victims return to normalcy by exercising compassion, empathy, and a willingness to do what it takes in their time of need. Technicians use water extraction technology and equipment, basic hand tools, power tools, and cleaning agents. Communication skills and social awareness are important to interact with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.

Responsibilities
Perform structural drying per the IICRC standards
Provide moisture mapping and documentation
Conduct demolition after fires or floods
Move customers’ personal items away from work area
Some evening and weekend hours are necessary as the firm is a 24/7 disaster response company
Drive and operate truck and machinery (extraction machines, dehumidifiers, etc.)
Remove carpets, carpet pads, drywall, insulation, debris, etc. from job site
Participate in 24-hour on-call rotation and respond with a maximum sense of urgency
Requirements
Two or more years of experience necessary for this position.
High school education or G.E.D.
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
