Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Sanitation Associate to join our team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role involves cleaning and sanitizing equipment while production is down. If you thrive in a dynamic setting and enjoy hands-on work, this position may be for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Sanitation Duties: Take apart and clean food manufacturing machinery and equipment, ensuring all areas meet cleanliness and safety standards.
- Hose Down Equipment: Use water and cleaning solutions to wash down machinery and other equipment, maintaining a hygienic work environment.
- Independent Work: Work autonomously during sanitation tasks, demonstrating good dexterity and attention to detail.
- Team Collaboration: Support team members as required, showing a nonconfrontational attitude and willingness to help where needed.
Requirements:
- Heat Tolerance: Comfortable working in a hot environment, with temperatures exceeding 90 degrees due to the heat generated by the bakery processes
- Physical Stamina: Ability to remain on your feet for the entire shift in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible Schedule: Available to work the 2pm to 10pm shift from Monday to Saturday, with potential for 60-hour work weeks and occasional mandatory Sunday shifts (with an additional day off during the week).
- Orientation Compliance: Must be able to follow an orientation schedule during the first week, which will involve first-shift hours.
- Adaptability: Willing to get wet and dirty while cleaning machinery; water-resistant shoes will be required, and gear will be provided.
Work Environment:
- This position involves working in a bakery setting where temperatures can be high, especially during the summer. The work may involve getting wet and dirty while performing sanitation tasks.
