Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various settings, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and residents. This role is essential in upholding the highest standards of hygiene and presentation, so exceptional attention to detail is required
Duties
- Perform cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces in guest rooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Experience with laundry and wardrobe management, with fine fabrics and clothes and the ability to attend to small repairs, or know when the items should be sent to the manufacturer for repair.
- Manage floor care by operating cleaning equipment such as carpet cleaners, with experience in caring for many different surfaces, eg carpet, porcelain, marble, wood etc.
- Ensure all areas are well-stocked with necessary supplies and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals, solutions and equipment, ensuring the correct product is used on the corresponding surface.
- Provide exceptional hospitality to the principal and their guests, whilst in residence.
- Assist with housekeeping management tasks as needed, including training new staff on cleaning procedures and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness meets established standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar private residence with longevity in past roles is a must.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively, while maintaining high-quality standards.
This is a live-out role, so willingness to commute, or relocate is a pre-requisite, a driver is essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 50 per week
