Part-Time Cleaning Technician to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of our 9-1-1 Dispatch Center. This critical role ensures that our high-stress, high-security environment remains clean, organized, and conducive to the essential work of our administration and dispatch teams. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of maintaining strict confidentiality, as the work environment is subject to sensitive and confidential information.
Additional Requirements
This job requires a comprehensive background investigation to include a local, state, and federal criminal history check. Requires satisfactory results from a pre-employment medical evaluation and substance abuse testing and is subject to random alcohol and controlled substance testing. Must have a valid Alabama driver's license.
Physical Demands
This position is very physical. Position is responsible for cleaning a 7,000 sq ft office. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, bend, push, pull, and sit. Must be able to reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The employee may be required to lift and/or move objects weighing over 30 pounds. Will be around cleaning chemicals on a daily basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:
v Sweeps, mops, waxes, and polishes floors
v Washes walls, windows, and woodwork
v Dusts and polishes furniture and equipment
v Empties trash baskets
v Replenishes restroom supplies
v Cleans and polishes brass and other metal work
v Vacuums and spot clean rugs and carpeting
v Cleans restrooms
v Cleans emergency spills or water spills
v Sweeps and cleans sidewalks
v Advises of when cleaning and paper supplies need to be reordered or replenished
v Assists with stocking and storing of supplies
v Loads and unloads janitorial and other supplies
v Performs related work as required.
