Summary:
Manage the daily work activities of Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Quality Control. Expedite workflow, perform ROSIS inspections, and work with department managers to train or issue disciplinary documentation. Ensure grounds and public space are kept in a clean and safe condition. Confidentially open or close the department while always promoting a positive energy to staff.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect public space around assigned buildings to ensure Housepersons and Groundskeepers are keeping it in a clean and safe condition.
- Using the Rosen Standards Inspection; perform detailed inspections of rooms within assigned buildings.
- Use this information to train and coach Housekeepers.
- Work with other Asst. Housekeeping Managers to support each other's assigned buildings when scheduling conflicts do not allow them to be present.
- Each month perform a linen inventory as directed by Management.
- Oversee cleaning of VIP rooms to ensure they exceed Rosen Standards.
- Oversee scheduled deep cleaning projects to ensure they are being completed in a timely manner.
- Support Housekeeping Management with communicating and enforcing Hotel and Company Standards
- Exhibits a willingness to perform any other duty/project as assigned, which may not be listed above.
- Responsible for overseeing the training of employees. Appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems. Writing reviews for associates.
- Works closely with DOS, MOD, and Chief Engineering to ensure the property is operating in a safe and attractive fashion.
- Support Management while handling a guest complaint; including pests.
- Establishes standards and procedures for the work of housekeeping staff.
- Plans work schedules to ensure adequate service.
- Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of the establishment.
- Periodically inventory supplies and equipment.
- Investigate new and improved cleaning instruments and methods.
- Maintains time and payroll records.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Must have at least 1 year of management experience
- Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
