HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR/ HEAD HOUSEKEEPER Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor and/or Executive Director FLSA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
POSITION OVERVIEW The primary responsibility of the Head Housekeeper is supervising and performing duties associated keeping areas of the property clean. In this role, the individual should maintain a positive rapport with co-workers, residents and provide a high level of detailed follow-up with the Executive Director. The Head Housekeeper position should display a proactive, positive attitude and perform all job functions as described below.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervising all Housekeeping staff to insure they are following safe work habits in order to prevent on-the-job injuries while adequately performing their duties.
- Cleaning and vacuuming the clubhouse(s), offices, guardhouse, apartments and common areas, such as laundry rooms, restrooms and hallways.
- Cleaning windows on inside and outside of building (may require working from a ladder).
- Using various cleaning chemicals and mixing properly.
- Cleaning walls, baseboards, cabinets, windows, vents, appliances, bathrooms, floorings and light panels.
- Checking for damaged appliances and fixtures.
- Setting up Model Apartments with soft goods and checking on lighting and presentation.
- Maintaining housekeeping equipment.
- Rotating on call weekends for cleaning clubhouses, laundry rooms and guest suites as needed.
- Laundering suites and model apartment linens.
- Preparing the housekeeping staff’s work schedules.
- Operating the housekeeping golf cart and maintaining supplies.
- Direct participation in and supervision of housekeeping projects.
- Regularly inspecting the Model Apartments to insure they remain in top showing condition.
- Maintaining direct communication with the Management office and Maintenance staff throughout the day.
- Interviewing Housekeeper position applicants.
- Promptly reporting any injuries discipline problems and maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Executive Director.
- Preparing written reports and other documents as directed by the Executive Director.
- Performing other related tasks as needed.
- Working regular shifts and additional hours, when necessary, as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Property Manager.
- Notifying the Maintenance Supervisor of any unusual circumstances or special needs.

- Stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle, feel or grip, and reach with hands and arms while performing standard duties.
- Frequently required to climb stairs, walk, talk, hear, and drive a golf cart while on the property.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 lbs.
- Frequently use common office equipment, telephone, computer, keyboard, mouse, two-way radio, and variety of different keys.
- Frequent bending, stooping, stretching, etc. while in the process of doing duties.
POSITION SPECIFICS & BENEFITS
- Full-time position; Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- 96 hours PTO accrued each year for first two years of service
- 136 hours of PTO each year after two years and above
- 176 hours of PTO accrued each year after 7 years of service
- 401K with 3% Employer Contribution
- Health/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance available after 30-day waiting period
- Good background required
- 90-day probationary period
