Project Overview:
This job posting is specific to our project in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where we are responsible for renovating and operating the shipyard located on Quay 15 & 16. Our facilities here include a 200-foot floating dock and a 680-foot dry dock. We specialize in the repair and maintenance of various marine vessels, with a particular emphasis on careening, painting operations, metalwork, and the maintenance of propulsion units and auxiliaries.
Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Hydroblasters to join our team. The Hydroblaster will be responsible for operating high-pressure water blasting equipment to clean surfaces in a shipyard setting.
*Responsibilities*
- Operate and maintain high-pressure water blasting equipment
- Clean and prepare surfaces by removing dirt, grease, scale, and other contaminants
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Inspect equipment for any defects or malfunctions
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
*Experience*
- Previous experience as a Hydroblaster or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
