What the opportunity looks like:
The Demand Planning Team is responsible for creating and maintaining the company’s demand forecast and is a key bridge between the supply chain and commercial functions. The team is responsible for maximising forecast accuracy with the purpose of driving capacity and supply plans and optimising supply chain effectiveness.
The Demand Analyst will generate and maintain a rolling 12-18 month consensus demand forecast using qualitative and quantitative methods and - through effective management of the S&OP Demand Review process - receive, interrogate and overlay forecasts and other information submitted by the commercial teams.
- Coordinate the submission of forecast data from the commercial teams within a defined region.
- Conduct statistical analysis of historical data and market insights to validate the commercial forecast and generate a consensus demand forecast.
- Contribute to the New Product Implementation process by providing insight on demand for new products, and by completing project tasks in line with agreed SLAs.
- Partner with the supply planning team, collaborating to ensure that stock is available to meet demand.
- Actively work to identify innovative process improvement opportunities, and lead implementation with minimal support.
Skills and experience that will help you be a success:
For this role we're looking for:
- Educated to degree level in Business or Supply Chain or related disciplines, or qualified by experience.
- Relevant professional experience in Supply Chain, preferably FMCG or Drinks industry.
- Detailed understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and their connection with the broader business, including Commercial and Finance.
- Thorough understanding of demand planning processes and tools.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook to an advanced level.
