The busser is responsible for supporting our wait staff by cleaning tables and setting up our dining areas. Essentially, this role would be responsible for smooth daily operations by being time efficient in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Between seatings, promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths and reset and arrange tabletop
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant
- Maintain clean floors at all times
- Take soiled tableware to dish room and unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in designated areas in the soiled dish drop off area
- Inspect assigned restrooms every 30 minutes and clean as needed
- Proactively pre-buss during peak hours
- Respond appropriately to guest requests and communicate guest requests to server as needed
- Assist server as needed with food delivery especially with large parties
- Maintain constant communication with servers and hostess to ensure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service
- Thank guests as they are leaving the restaurant
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- No previous restaurant experience required
- Have working knowledge of the predominant language(s) of our guests
- Be able to lift, reach, bend and stoop
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
