Clean and supply designated building areas in good condition. Provides upkeep for all spaces and buildings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply all safety practices and follow general safety rules, while performing daily tasks, such as wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), be aware of your surroundings, etc., while performing daily tasks.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to CEMCO’s standards and policies, and to legal regulations, alerting management regarding potential concerns.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Service, clean and supply restrooms.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floor and fixtures.
- Notify supervision concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Remove snow and spread snow melting chemicals.
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
- Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Dust furniture, walls machines and equipment.
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Performs minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing light fixtures or unclogging pipes.
- Contributes to the CEMCO’s success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
- Must communicate in an effective and professional manner and inculcate team building and support.
- Knowledge or internal policies and procedures.
- Regular attendance, punctuality, and ability to work overtime as needed.
- Other projects may be assigned as needed.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school or G.E.D, and related experiences and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
CERTIFICACIONS, LICENCES, REGISTRATIONS
None required.
SKILLS
Language: Comprehend and follow through with simple instructions. Write simple correspondence. Speak and communicate effectively and professionally with other employees in CEMCO.
Computer: Learn Company’s basic computer and scanning systems.
Mathematical: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Measure widths, intern dimension (ID), outer dimension (OD) and weight. Measure products’ lengths, widths, and heights.
Reasoning:Apply common sense, understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand and walk, three (3) plus hours at a time on a regular basis. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts outside weather conditions, and sharp material. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, vibrations, or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and subject to ambient conditions.
