GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Housekeeper role is responsible for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the facilities. This position reports directly to the Director of Maintenance and is responsible for ensuring a pristine and welcoming environment for our members and guests.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain the cleanliness of designated areas, including but not limited to, clubhouses, locker rooms, lounges, dining areas, and restrooms.
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and other tasks to uphold a polished appearance.
- Handle delicate surfaces, high-end finishes, and valuable items with care.
- Execute deep cleaning procedures for specific areas as scheduled or needed.
- Ensure that guest accommodations and amenities are impeccably maintained.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and assist in maintaining a positive member and guest experience.
- Oversee the laundering and maintenance of linens, towels, and other textiles as needed.
- Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens for all relevant areas.
- Responsible for proper disposal of waste and recycling materials.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of outdoor spaces, including patios and entrance areas.
- Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance to address maintenance and repair needs promptly.
- Report any issues or irregularities observed during cleaning duties.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as necessary.
- Keep track of cleaning equipment and report any malfunctions or need for repairs.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and procedures.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and tools in accordance with Club policies.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or GED, preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year’s of experience as a Housekeeper, preferably in the hotel/resort or Club setting, preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be available to respond to emergency situations.
- Ensures safety measures are in place and company safety program is followed

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this position:
- Will work outdoors and may be exposed to wet and/or hot conditions.
- The employee is regularly required to stand and/or sit for long hours.
- Must be able to talk and hear in person and by telephone.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel office equipment.
- Must reach with hands and arms.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, sharp objects, extreme heat and/or open flame.
- Moderate noise environment.
- While performing duties of this class, the employee is regularly required to work on multiple concurrent tasks with constant interruptions, read and interpret documents and information; use oral communication skills; interact with Club Pelican Bay Staff, Membership, and others encountered in the course of work.
- Ability to perform first aid and CPR while utilizing the emergency equipment.
- Move or lift objects up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to climb, crawl, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push or pull.
- Communication, to include reading, hearing, and talking with employees and members.
- Must have close, distance, peripheral, and color vision along with the ability to adjust focus.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
