Job Description
Our Mitigation Technicians work hard in often harsh conditions involving, smoke, water, mold, sewage, etc., to help people and properties recover from damage due to disasters. The ideal candidate will enjoy physical labor, have a positive attitude, enjoy working as part of a team, and be 100% reliable and accountable. It would be great if you have worked for a disaster restoration company in the past. Here is a bit more information about the job:
- Fire Damage-board up, structure stabilization, smoke cleaning & pack out
- Water Damage-extraction, drying, minor demolition & pack out
- Trash removal
- Material/supply delivery
- Mold Remediation
- Restoration-contents manipulation, cleaning, small punch out tasks
- On call rotation for new emergency calls
Qualifications
- Applicants must be familiar with general construction
- Must be reliable, have a positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to make a good first impression with our customers.
- Work in a productive and efficient manner on every job.
- Participation in a weekly rotational on-call schedule.
- Keep vehicle checklist and necessary tools and equipment maintained as necessary.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects on a regular basis.
- Must have valid drivers' license, be drug free and pass a full background check and urinalysis test.
- Fluent English
- Candidate must be able to lift 75 lbs.
- Willingness/ability to work weekends and night hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- IICRC WRT certified
- Handy man experience
- Moving experience
- Minimum 1-year mitigation experience
- Nice to have - Basic understanding of Xactimate software
- Nice to have - Basic understanding of Moisture Mapper software
*Pay will depend on experience but usually ranges from $17-$20 for IICRC WRT Certified personnel. If you want to get certified, then we can assist with that as well.
