NOTE: This is a Part-Time Position.
DESCRIPTION
Responsible for keeping building and grounds clean and safe.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleaning and sanitizing of restrooms, kitchen, coffee stations, break rooms, lobby, and conference rooms
- Sweeps, vacuums, and mops floors and stairways
- Disposes of trash and replaces liners accordingly
- Cleans grounds and parking lots of litter, glass, or other debris
- Washs and maintains clean windows
- Maintains an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies
- Determines appropriate cleaning materials, supplies, tools, and equipment
- Performs routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies.
- Report major repairs promptly to Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Education & Experience
- High school degree; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Competencies
- Communication Proficiency
- English language written and oral communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safety data sheets.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; extreme care in documentation
- Technical Capacity
- Ability to use chemicals and cleaning supplies properly.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to use janitoral tools, equipment ,and supplies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not exposed to weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This job operates in a clerical office setting, routinely using standard office equipment including computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, this position will be exposed to the manufacturing/factory environment and be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in this work environment can be loud.
